KV NO.1 UDAIPUR : AN INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the official site of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Udaipur, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the city of Lakes.

This centre of excellence which was first established in 1965 as a civil sector school is affiliated to CBSE.

It is situated in the north of the city surrounded by oldest mountains fold of Aravallis. This Vidyalaya has the strength of more than 1447 students and 60 staff on rolls and has all along been striving to achieve academic excellence and development in the total personality of the students.

It is a three-section school Class 1 to 10 and four-section school from XI to XII. The school has all the three streams - Science [two sections], Commerce and Humanities [one section each]. It has given many teachers, scientists, technocrats, doctors, engineers, and administrators, who occupy enviable positions in all walks of life.

Mission of  Kendriya Vidyalayas

• To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;

• To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education

• To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and

·         To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
